Congratulations on your retirement!

We want everyone to have a chance to let Gail know how much we appreciate all she has done, even if you can't make it to the party. Please leave a comment for her here.

  1. Happy retirement Mom! We love you and are so proud of all the work you have done in your life; completing your masters degree, working full time, and raising six kids. You are pretty awesome!

  2. Gail,
How can words describe my admiration, my love, my respect and my sincere adoration for you. I truly miss you every day I go to work. I have never enjoyed working for a supervisor more and I am absolutely convinced that I never will again. It is an absolute delight to spend time in your presence and feel of the love and compassion that you have not only for me but for every individual that interacts with you no matter what the occasion. I am jealous of your ability to retire and to control what, when and where you go and what you do. Oh for that day to come seems so very, very distant in the future for me.
I appreciate all the time and effort and sacrifice that you continually made and continue to make for the College of Eastern Utah's success. This institution is better because of YOU! It is without a doubt standing today because of your service, intelligence, and undying dedication to its cause. It is with sadness [for my loss] that I wish you the very best in your many retirment years to come. I look forward to rubbing shoulders with you at any time and in any circumstance. It is my utmost pleasure to call you my friend.
    Love,
    Pam Hosler

  3. Just think of all those quilts waiting years to be made and now you can do them. Enjoy every moment of not having to wake up and go to work....While the rest of us do.

It was a pleasure to know you and work with you.
Kick up your heels and dance....
Eat all the chocolate you want
stay in your sweats till noon and best of all
    continue to serve others.

  4. My mother is awesome! I blogged about it here: http://thebartonshaveablog.blogspot.com/2009/09/she-inspires-me-long-overdue-my-mom.html. Check it out, if you want. And if you are having a hard time figuring out how to post a comment, please feel free to email me at nbarton@citlink.net.

  5. I am sorry I cannot make it to the party but it is partly your fault. Because of you I was driven to become more educated. In fact, if you remember, it was you who suggested I attend CEU to earn my RN. Each day I was on campus I tried to come visit with you. I loved that you took time to listen to me even when you were busy. I was always proud of the work you did, and the dedication you had to your job. You are a great Woman, Mother, and Grandmother. I cannot express how proud I am of you.

  6. Congratulations on your retirement. You deserve it. Now you can sit back and enjoy life, make beautiful quilts and play with your children and grandchildren. Thanks for your friendship and support. Although I can't be at your celebration in person, please know that my thoughts will be with you. Love, Rosalie Payne

  7. Congratulations on your retirement. Your gain will be CEU's loss. Thanks so much for the many kindnesses you have shown me through the years I have been in Blanding. I marvel at all the "Martha Stewart" details Grace used to tease you about; your dedication as a mom and grandma; and your commitment to your chosen profession. You always aim for perfection, but are "real" about life's challenges, rewards and joy. I know you have encouraged many and have been and will remain a role model for many of us. Love to you and your family. Kris Paul and family

  8. Congratulations! I wish I could be there to congratulate you and thank you in person but since I can't this is the next best thing. You have been such a great support to me, not only as a supervisor but as a friend. There were days when I don't think I could have handled the stress but you were there to give encouraging words and a smile. I will always remember that. I loved working for you and getting to know you. You did so much for the college it won't be the same without you there. You were able to smile and help others even through the tough times.
Thanks for being a great example, a wonderful boss, and an awesome friend.
    Love
